Edmiston is now the central agent for charter of Atlantic, a 210-foot yacht that was built in 2010 as a reproduction of the classic 1903 schooner.

The original Atlantic was commissioned by New York Yacht Club member Wilson Marshall, designed by William Gardner and built at the Townsend & Downey Shipyard in New York. It was intended to be the fastest schooner on the water, and became a well-known and winning racing yacht in its heyday. It languished after World War II and was broken up in 1982.

The new Atlantic, built by Van Der Graaf BV in the Netherlands, is a faithful reproduction from that Edwardian era. The yacht has classic features but is built with modern systems and equipment that satisfy current regulations, and give today’s charter clients the types of onboard comforts they expect.

Twelve guests are accommodated in six en suite staterooms. There are quarters for 11 crew.

Where will Atlantic charter this summer? In the West Mediterranean, with a lowest weekly base rate of about $105,850.
